What We Believe

Profession Of Our Faith

CREATOR GOD
There is one God, eternally existent as Father, Son (the Word) and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things that we can see and all things that we cannot see. He is self-existent, everlasting to everlasting, pre-existent before all things that exist, perfect, holy, omnipotent, omniscient.

Psalm 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Colossians 1:15,16,17 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible whether thrones, dominions, principalities, or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES (BIBLE)
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness . . .
Hebrews 4:12   For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Exodus 32:15,16  And Moses turned and went down from the mountain, and the two tablets of the Testimony were in his hand. The tablets were written on both sides; on one side and on the other they were written. Now the tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God engraved on the tablets.

ONE GOD TRIUNE (TRINITY)
One God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Eternally self-existent, one power, one purpose, one essence.

Genesis 1:26,27   Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Hebrews 1: 1-3  God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

MAN – WOMAN – FAMILY – GOD’S DIVINE ORDER
The first man and woman, Adam, and Eve, were created in the holy image and likeness of God, male and female. God’s order has always been from the beginning for man and woman to cleave to each in marriage, to the exclusion of others, for their entire lives. According to God’s divine order Adam and Eve were to be “fruitful” and bring forth holy children born in the image and likeness of God as well. Creator God established and blessed this order for marriage and family.

Rebelling against God’s word is sin, and always leads to death. But God’s love has been poured out to mankind to wash and cleanse from sin. By turning away from ungodliness toward the sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of His only begotten son Jesus, we are freed from the power of sin, and cleansed from all unrighteousness.

Genesis  1:26 – 28   Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”  So, God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
1 Corinthians 6:9-11   Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
Ephesians 5:30,31 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. “For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”

JESUS SON OF GOD AND SAVIOR
The Lord Jesus Christ is both God and man. By the power of the Holy Spirit His virgin mother conceived and brought forth the Savior of the world. Jesus, the word made flesh, is the only begotten son of the living God. Through His sinless life and shedding of His blood on the cross, he atoned for the sin of all mankind that believe. He was raised from the dead bodily and ascended to the right hand of the Father. He will come again to earth in great power and glory to judge the living and the dead. He will establish his kingdom here on the earth, even as it is in heaven. He is the only way of salvation for lost and sinful man. Repentance of sin, and faith in Jesus Christ alone, results in rebirth to a new life in Him.

Luke 1: 30–33 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”
Matthew 1:21   And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
1 John 4:14   And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.

INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit’s indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life. The initial sign of indwelling of the Holy Spirit is spiritual prayer language “tongues”.  He, the Holy Spirit is the promise of the Father, sent by Jesus after His Ascension, to empower the believer and to empower the Church to live Godly lives, and preach the Gospel throughout the whole earth.

Mark 16:17   And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues.
John 14:25,26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

HOLY SPIRIT GIFTS TO THE CHURCH
The Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and confirm the power of the Gospel. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation of the gifts in their lives. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of Biblical parameters.

1 Corinthians 14:4-11 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. I wish you all would speak with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification.
Corinthians 12:28 God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
1 Peter 4:10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

THE UNIVERSAL BODY OF CHRIST
The true church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus’ Great Commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:19   Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.
Hebrews 12:23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect.
John 17:20   “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
